When designing a home, so often we focus on how
it will represent us and the things we love, or how it will be
used to entertain—whether for intimate family celebrations,
or grand and elaborate galas.

But in our book, a home’s true value
is how it makes us feel each and every day. Whether
it’s as you leave for the office each morning, traverse
the house throughout the day, or go-about your
typical evening routine, a home designed right
should elicit joy, calm, and renewal.

It’s its truest and best form, a home’s real purpose is,
and should always be, complete respite from the rest of the world.
